Some Tough Issues

January 28th, 2007

I haven’t written in a while, I’ve been letting things digest.  I’m still trying to keep down parts of The State of the Union Address. I haven’t received much comment on my previous posts, which is a little disappointing, but we will keep plugging away. I figure that eventually I will write something that so completely pisses someone off they will have to comment. Either that, or someone will finally realize the true genius behind my plans and the groundswell will begin.

There will be more to come on the health care issue but I thought I might tackle some of the meatier issues facing us. Important things, things like gay marriage and abortion, things that can cost a person an election.

Gay marriage? Is this really an issue? I don’t see the big deal. I believe this is only an issue to singe people. Anyone who has been married for very many years knows that, after a while, no matter how much you love your spouse, there are a lot of times that there is nothing remotely gay about being married. So I say let them have at it, they too deserve all the benefits of married life, benefits like the marriage tax penalty, benefits like having to pay attorney fees when you decide you can’t take it any longer and want to leave your partner, benefits like in-laws, the list goes on ad nauseam.

There really is no good transition from gay marriage to abortion, that being said, lets just dive right in. I believe that the woman has the ultimate say so on this matter. It should be entirely up to the individual. It would be nice if the possible father was told, but he should have no say so in the matter. He is entitled to his opinion, but should have no rights in the matter. Let’s face it, had he taken the time to don a condom his lady friend might not have to make a choice. I am thankful, however, that 2 women didn’t choose abortion or my wife and I might not have any children, or at least not the children we have today. When you think about it how could someone like myself, who has come out in favor of doctor assisted suicide be against abortion.

And now for something entirely different.

My staff of volunteer is working on some ideas I had for some changes in the appearance of Clark4Prez.org. Look for them in the future. I’ll try to keep a little more regular schedule for my posts.

Thanks.

Please stand by, we are having technical difficulties

I know it may be hard to believe but, yes we have some problems. My top notch staff of volunteer (there is intentionally no s on the word volunteer because that would indicate more than one) is working on it. Thanks for your patience.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

December 24th, 2006

There it is…….I said it Merry Christmas. Not happy holidays, Merry Christmas, if that offends anyone so be it. I despise the generic happy holidays, I don’t deny anyone their holidays, so don’t try and deny me mine. Thank you.

Being the hopeful candidate of the people let me tell you how average Joe American has spent the Christmas Eve morning. At some point during the night my water heater decided to rust out, so I have been dealing with the subsequent mess and the hassle of figuring out how to pull off the traditional feast with the water shut off. Stop and think about that for a moment……. Now with that in mind remember this, I have a wife and four daughters and no water. The whole point of telling you this is: If I can handle that kind of stress I will certainly not be bothered by high stress situations when I am in the White House. At my morning briefing when they tell me that Iran is very close to having a nuclear weapon, I’ll look at my staff and with the look that only a father of four daughters can have and say, “Tell them I said stop it.” If that doesn’t work and it almost never does, I’ll try something else. Until that time however, I have plumbing problems to think about.

So, Merry Christmas to everyone, and if you don’t celebrate Christmas then I hope you enjoy whatever holiday you do choose to celebrate where ever it is they celebrate that holiday. Cause in MY America we still celebrate Christmas.

Thank you

First, I would like to thank my brother Jay for creating my site. It means a lot to me and I’m very proud of it. This site is the beginning, the beginning of something that I hope will become big. Something big that can be best described with words like “groundswell” and “grass roots”. Something like me becoming President. Of course, this begs the question, why? The truth is, I’m not fully sure myself. I know what I believe and I believe that for too many years our policies have been driven by fat cat lobbyists and big money. No matter which of the two major political parties were in control. I believe that perhaps its time somebody paid more attention to Fat Eddie and Big Earl down at the bowling alley.
The views expressed here are mine only, they do not necessarily represent the views of anybody else and, if that should be the case, whatever view I have on that issue is possibly wrong.

In the coming six hundred and ninety days or so I will be unveiling my PLAN. Every candidate has a plan and I am no different. I will also be offering my opinions, commentary, insights into my personal life and hopefully, cause to do some serious thinking.

So please check me out often, leave comments, let me know what issues concern you. And if you like what you see and read here, help a guy out, and tell everyone in your address book about it.

One last thing; Thanks again Jay, I’ll have a spot for you on my cabinet as soon as I clear off some of the junk.
